Common Names: Variegated Rubber Plant; Ficus Tineke
A variegated cultivar of the traditional rubber tree, this plant foliage features waxy, robust leaves with hues of light green, cream, and even some pink in the veins. It is sure to make a soft but striking statement.
The Ficus Tineke is a relatively low-maintenance option with straightforward care:
Implement a regular watering schedule – a good soak roughly once a week should do the trick, or, when the top 2in of soil has dried out.
Place in bright, indirect light. May appreciate a few hours of soft morning sunlight, but avoid direct harsh afternoon rays. Keep in mind that variegated foliage has higher light requirements.
Wiping the leaves with a damp cloth and rotating the pot regularly also helps the plant maintain its impressive variegation.
Relatively fast growers, you can expect 24 inches of growth annually and grow to heights of 5-6 feet.
