Fortune’s Osmanthus, aka False Holly, is a handsome evergreen shrub valued for its dense growth, glossy dark green foliage, and excellent year-round structure. In fall, small white flowers appear along the branches, releasing a sweet, apricot-like fragrance that can fill the surrounding garden. Its dense, upright habit makes it a versatile choice for hedges, privacy screens, foundation plantings, or as a large specimen.

Tough and adaptable, Fortune’s Osmanthus handles heat, humidity, and a range of growing conditions once established. It responds well to pruning, making it easy to shape into a formal hedge, while its naturally dense foliage also works beautifully in a more relaxed landscape.
