Variegated Japanese Iris
Iris ensata ‘Variegata’
Variegated Japanese Iris is a striking perennial that combines elegant blooms with eye-catching foliage. Its graceful, sword-like leaves are beautifully striped with creamy white, providing season-long interest even when the plant is not in flower. In early to midsummer, large, flat lavender-purple blooms with delicate veining and bright yellow signals rise above the foliage, creating a dramatic display in the garden. Its refined form and love of moisture make it an excellent choice for pond edges, rain gardens, and consistently moist borders.
Unlike many other iris species, Japanese Iris thrives in rich, moisture-retentive soils and performs best with consistent watering during the growing season. Its distinctive variegated foliage adds texture and brightness to the landscape from spring through fall, making it a standout even after flowering has finished.

Welcome to The Plant Firm
The Plant Firm was created during the lockdown of 2020 as a fun project to give me something to do. It quickly became a much larger endeavor and one that I knew needed more attention to be done right. I was tired of paying an arm and a leg for plants at the big box store and saw an opportunity to save people time and money while also delivering straight to their door. So, here we are in 2023. Officially up and running with an amazing team, more plants, and a desire to provide you with better plants at better prices!
